EU: New Harmonised Standards in the OJEU for the Radio Equipment Directive as of July 2021

On July 19th, 2021, the European Commission published the Decision 2021/1196 regarding. This publication, as usual, contains new harmonised standards and dates of withdrawal for certain radio equipment. In this publication, the main standards address the essential requirements for product categories such as:
– ground and wall-probing radio determination devices
– radio frequency identification equipment
– radio equipment for Euroloop railway systems
– networked short-range devices
– wireless industrial applications
– broadband communication radiolink for ships and off-shore installations
According to this decision, compliance with these harmonised standards confers a presumption of conformity with the corresponding essential requirements set out in Union harmonisation legislation from the date of publication.
