On July 9th, the General Superintendence of Electricity and Telecommunications published the resolution T-0408-2023, which resolves to update the National Frequency Allocation Table (CNAF) for a complete band of 6GHz, it is allocated for unlicensed usage for transmission and reception of data in the Wi-Fi wireless technology.
According to resolution T-0408-2023, it is for low-power and limited indoor devices only with the following technical considerations:
- WLAN (WiFi): 5925 – 7125MHz
- P.I.R.E Maximum: 30dBm/Spectral Density Maximum: 5dBm/MHz for access devices.
- P.I.R.E Maximum: 24dBm/Spectral Density Maximum: -1dBm/MHz for client devices.
Access devices must be powered directly from commercial electrical power, the use of batteries is not allowed.
