Products covered: Printing and digitization equipment (HS 8443.32.19, 8443.32.20, 8443.32.90,8443.39.10, 8443.39.90, 8443.12.00, 8443.19.90, 8443.31.00, 8471.60.90, and 8472.10.00) The notified Technical Regulation establishes the general requirements to be met by printing and digitization equipment, with a view to preventing risks to human life and safety and the environment, and practices likely to mislead users. It applies to the following types of domestically manufactured or imported mains-powered printing and digitization equipment, including electrical office equipment and related apparatus, with a rated voltage not exceeding 600 V, which is marketed in Ecuador: -Printers -Photocopiers -Fax machines -Scanners Publication in which Technical Regulation will be published when adopted: Registro Oficial (Official Journal).
