CUBA – UNITED STATES: Cuba Removed from the FCC Exclusion List

The United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released on January 15th an announcement on its news website reporting that Cuba was removed from the exclusion list of the FCC. Countries in this exclusion list require separate authorization of the Commission for the companies that want to do business in those markets, this increases cost and difficult transactions. Cuba was the last country on the list, and with this order the Commission facilitates to provide telephone and internet services in the Island by United States telecoms carriers. The order become effective upon release.
