COSTA RICA: Government Instructed SUTEL to Start an Auction of 70 MHz

Earlier this month, according to an order published in the official gazette of Costa Rica, the government instructed the Superintendencia de Comunicaciones (SUTEL) to start the auction of 70 MHz in the 1800 MHz and 1900/2100 MHz bands. The auction of this spectrum portion was pending since 2010, and now SUTEL has to define the terms of the auction that will permit to improve the telecommunications market in the country.
