COLOMBIA: Starting October 1st, Homologation for Mobile Phones Will Have a Simplified Process

The Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) has implemented a more simplified process for the homologation of mobile phones or mobile terminal equipment. From now on, according to the new homologation application form, only is necessary the personal data: name, ID number, address, telephone number, and email address, and the basic data of the device such as brand, model, a photograph of the device label and the TAC. It is important to remember that homologation guarantees compliance with the technical and legal standards for equipment operating in Colombia.
