COLOMBIA: CRC Extends Deadline for Equipment Operating in the AWS and 2500 MHz Bands

On July 11, 2017, the CRC of Colombia released resolution 5162 of 2017, which modifies the entry into force from its previous resolution, 5050 of 2016. The previous resolution highlighted technical standards for the approval of mobile terminal equipment operating in the AWS (1700/2100 MHz) and 2500 MHz bands. The resolution contains general conditions for the approval of terminal equipment and certificate of conformity applicable in Colombia. The approval of terminal equipment that operates in the AWS and 2500 MHz bands came into effect on July 8, 2017. The obligation deadline for entry into force is set for February 1, 2018.
