On November 18th, the National Spectrum Agency (ANE) and the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (MinTIC) published the resolution 737 of 2022, where the complete band of 6 GHz is allocated for unlicensed usage for WAS (Wireless Access Networks) applications.
According to resolution 737 of 2022, the operation of a device under this application is limited to indoor use only, and the access device must be plugged to the electrical grid of the building (battery usage is not allowed).
This new frequency allocation in Colombia enables 1200 MHz of bandwidth in the 6 GHz range for WAS applications such as WiFi 6E.
