CHINA: MMIT Seek Comments/Opinions for 5G Mobile Communication Base Stations

On June 11, 2018, The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MMIT) published a notice for comments and opinions regarding the “Regulations on the Coordination Management of Radio communication Base Stations for 5th Generation Mobile Communication Base Stations and Other Radio Stations in the 3000-5000 MHz Frequency Band (Drafts for Solicitation of Comments)” (hereinafter referred to as the “Administrative Regulations”).

In order to promote the development of China’s 5G system, the proposed “Administrative Regulations” will further clarify the interference coordination standards and procedures for 5G system base stations and other radio stations, keep to protect existing legal stations, and provide Policy Support of necessary technology for the subsequent construction of 5G system base stations.
  
Moreover, the National Radio Office drafted a “3000-5000 MHz band Regulations for Harmonized Interference Management of Five-Generation Mobile Communications Base Stations and Other Radio Stations (Drafts for Solicitation of Comments). The public is now soliciting opinions, so please provide feedback before the consultation end date on July 15, 2018.
