On January 16, 2018, MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China) issued a Q&A regarding Micro-powered short-range radio equipment.
The highlight of the document is as follow:
According to the PRC of Radio Frequency Division Regulations, the following 6765-6795 kHz, 61-61.5 GHz, 122-123 GHz, and 244-246 GHz band is designated for ISM applications, but its use is subject to special approval by the Radio Administration; following 13553-13567 kHz, 26957-27283 kHz, 40.66 -40.7MHz, 2400-2500MHz, 5725-5875MHz, and 24-24.25GHz frequency bands are also specified for ISM applications within the frequency bands. Working radio services must withstand harmful interference due to these ISM applications.
The country specifies the frequency band for ISM applications. Compared with Europe and the United States, most ITU countries in the third region, including China, have not specified frequency bands for ISM applications in the 100MHz-1GHz band.
Additionally, the PRC of Radio Frequency Division Regulation, the above mentioned frequency bands designated for ISM applications are also allocated to the use of radio services. Both the ISM applications and the radio services that meet the requirements can use the above frequency bands, but must all comply with radio management regulations.
