CHINA: MIIT Announces Radio Transmitter Type Approval Random Inspection Scheme

On October 11, 2018, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China(MIIT) announced the Radio Transmitter Type Approval Random Inspection Scheme.

According to the requirements of Notice of ‘Random Inspection Detail List (2018)’ issued by MIIT General Office, the Bureau of Radio Regulation of MIIT (BRR) formulated ‘Radio Transmitter Type Approval Random Inspection Scheme (2018-2019)’ to implement the spirit of national document on the generalization of random inspection, decided to inspect technical indexes such as code label, operating frequency and power of approved transmitters randomly.

A few days ago, the work scheme of radio transmitter type approval random inspection was formally launched with some enterprise delegators’ witness. Through the random drawing of the computer, four categories of radio transmitters including public mobile communication terminals, LAN devices, Bluetooth devices, and interphones, totaling 350 chosen devices. Furthermore, local radio regulatory agencies in relevant provinces will be organized to carry out ‘Double Random One Report’ inspection of the production line, warehouse, and market.
