CHINA: CQC Adjusts Service Scope

On June 11, 2018, CNCA announced adjustment for the CCC catalog of compulsory product certification list and implementation. During the same time frame, China Quality Certification Center (CQC) published an announcement regarding the adjustment of its service scope.

CQC will adjust related service and products impacted by CCC certificate. 20 items in total, which are called original catalog (refer to Annex 1), have been removed from the CCC catalog of compulsory product certification list. We highlight one of these, ISDN terminal belongs to Telecommunications terminal equipment.

First, CQC will no longer accept the product listed in the CCC catalog of compulsory and define the scope of CQC, mark certification (voluntary product certification) that is consistent with the original catalog. Second, CQC will start the conversion of the original CCC certificate into a CQC certificate. The applicant only has to sign the Confirmation Letter (refer to Annex 2) and submit to CQC.
