On January 28th, the National Congress of Chile released an update on some changes related to the Exenta 1463 for mobile device broadcasting features.
Key highlights include:
– Manufacturers that market mobile equipment in the country must enable and maintain active the tuning function of the broadcasting service of the equipment that has it
– It will be verified that it has tuning functionality that cannot be disabled from the user interface.
– It will be verified that it has a tuning application that cannot be uninstalled from the user interface.
– It will be verified the effective reception of the signal of the sound broadcasting service in the modulated frequency segment (FM)
The requirements established in this Exenta will take effect on June 19th, 2021. After this date, approval certificates that do not consider the verification of this functionality may not be issued.
