CHILE: SUBTEL Announced Stricter Type Approval Requirements

Back

From January 1, 2016, the Chilean Telecommunications Regulator, Subsecretaria de Telecomunicaciones (SUBTEL), announced that they have introduced new and stricter requirements in its review of Type Approval applications.  Type Approval applications with greater output powers than permitted in resolution 755 will be automatically rejected, and frequency declarations or user manual statements are no longer accepted to show that devices conform to the Resolution 755. Devices already approved are not affected by this new requirements.
