CHILE: Short Range Devices (SRDs) Standard Receives Update in Resolution No. 1.985 of 2017

On July 31, of 2018, the Library of the National Congress of Chile released an update for frequency bands and output powers set by their Short Range Device (SRDs) Standard. The main changes are listed below:

– RFID devices can operate in the 915-928 MHz if it meets the j.3 part and can operate in the 913-919 MHz and/or 925-928 MHz if it meets the j.4
– The new output power allowed for devices using Digital Modulation at the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands is 1 W.
– The new output power allowed for the 915-920 MHz band is 500 mW.
– The addition of the band 913-919 MHz to the j.4 part.
– Other changes to the limits 57-66 GHz, 57-71 GHz, 61-61.5 and 169,4-169.475 MHz.
