As previously announced by the Ministry of Energy, Resolution Exenta N° 19/2016 for Cellular chargers (switched sources) need to obtain a type approval certificate from an authorized Certification Body in order to be commercialized in the country of Chile. Recently, the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels (SEC) approved the technical requirements for the testing of this certification: Protocol PE No. 8/8:2016 based on the international standard IEC 60950-1:2005-12 +corrigendum 1 2006/08, pointing March 31st of 2018 as entry into force date.
According to the information provided by importers of cellular chargers (switched sources), they have several logistical issues to be able to fully comply with the certification of the stock that the telecommunications companies, retail and distributors have. Therefore, SEC published on March 8, 2018, a new Resolution to modify the enter into force date, which is now as follow:

For those companies importing and marketing products locally (without a national invoice, to market in their own sale points), can market without certification the available stock as of March 31, 2018 until September 30, 2018. All importations done after March 31, 2018, prior to country commercialization must have the respective Safety Approval Certificate.
Starting September 30, 2018, all cellular chargers (switched sources) must be commercialized with the respective certificate.
Cellular chargers (switched sources) marketed in the country with difficulties to meet the minimum design dimensions for their mark due to their geometry form or size, may be marked on the body of the product with a label size lower than the described in the item third of Resolution Exenta No. 2.142, dated October 31, 2012, (keeping the proportions) whose dimensions may not be less than the following:
