During the end of November, the Regulator SEC (Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels) published a draft related to certification procedures for cell phone chargers. This protocol is directed to the analysis and/or testing of cellphone chargers using switch mode power supply units, and it is in accordance with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Standard No. 61558-2-16:2013-08.
The Regulator will accept comments until December 24, 2016.
