CHILE: Resolution 755 Updated

On January 23, 2017, The National Congress of Chile updated Resolution 755 in order to fix technical standards for the unlicensed use of short range devices.

There are three key points to note from the updated resolution:

1. Previously restricted 5470-5725 MHz band is now available for unlicensed use when maximum EIRP is limited to 50 mW.
2. 2400-2483,5MHz band is no longer limited to 5mW for outdoor operation.
3. 5725-5850 MHz band will now be limited to 50mW for outdoor use.
