CHILE: Multi-Band Stamp Notice Updated

Back

As ENTIRETY has previously informed, the Chilean Secretary of Telecommunications (SUBTEL) addressed the implementation of a multi-band stamp in all mobile device boxes through a public notice earlier this week. Following the implementation, Resolution 1463 will be in charge of regulating this process, which was set to take part on June 16, 2016. The resolution establishes the minimum technical specifications that all mobile devices should have in order to obtain the homologation certificate. The homologation process has to be carried out by an authorized certification body, which are the only ones able to fulfill the SUBTEL requirements for the issue of the certificate. The Basic Homologation Protocol for each model is defined in the Annex II of the attached regulation.
