CANADA: RSS-247 — Digital Transmission Systems (DTSs), Frequency Hopping Systems (FHSs) and Licence-Exempt Local Area Network (LE-LAN) 5GHz Devices

IC Industry Canada recently published the Radio Standards Specification RSS-247, Issue 1, for Digital Transmission Systems (DTSs), Frequency Hopping Systems (FHSs) and Licence-Exempt Local Area Network (LE-LAN) Devices, which is a new standard to replace annexes 8 and 9 of RSS-210, Issue 8, Licence-exempt Radio Apparatus (All Frequency Bands): Category I Equipment.

The RSS-247 entered in force as of its publication on the Industry Canada website (May 28, 2015), but the interested parties are requested to provide their comments within 90 days of that date (Aug 26, 2015) to the Manager, Radio Equipment Standards (res.nmr@ic.gc.ca). Comments received will be taken into consideration in the preparation of the next issue of this RSS. For more reference, you can see the details on the Canada Gazette Part I June 6, 2015.
