CANADA: Public Consultation on ISED Radio Standards Specification, RSS-247, Issue 3

The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada has opened a new public consultation on the RSS-247, issue 3,  “Digital Transmission Systems (DTSs), Frequency Hopping Systems (FHSs) and Licence-Exempt Local Area Network (LE-LAN) Devices”.

This standard defines the technical requirements for equipment certification of license-exempt radio apparatus operating in 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5 GHz frequency bands.

ISED is mainly seeking comments on the requirements for the 5850-5895 MHz band for RLANs devices, associated with the publication of SMSE 012-22.
