On April 22nd, 2020, ISED of Canada updated the ICES-003, Issue 7. The main changes are the following:
1. Inclusion of requirements for devices with power transfer functionalities and shall meet the provision and requirements in the Standard RSS-216 for Wireless Power Transfer Devices.
2. Removed requirements that are specified in ICES-Gen and referred to ICES-Gen for all general requirements (section 2.2).
3. Removed the alternative limits (ICES-003 now has only one set of limits), while continuing to allow either the CISPR or ANSI test methods (section 3).
This change in the Standard has a transition period that ends on August 1st, 2021.
