CANADA: ISED Release Public Consultation on Spectrum Outlook for 2018 – 2022

On October 6, 2017, the Science and Economic Development (ISED) of Canada, released a public consultation on the spectrum outlook for 2018 to 2022. ISED recognizes there is a digital connectivity growth, which will ultimately drive demand for spectrum. Therefore, this consultation was initiated to ensure Canada will be prepared to meet the spectrum needs associated with the uses.



“ISED, on behalf of the Minister, is hereby initiating a consultation on the overall approach and planning activities related to the release of spectrum for commercial mobile services ,license-exempt applications, satellite services and wireless backhaul services over the years 2018 to 2022.”
