The Canadian Government announced on November 15, 2017 two public consultations through the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s (ISED) documents entitled SMSE-018-17, Consultation on the Technical and Policy Framework for White Space Devices and SMSE-019-17, Consultation on the Technical, Policy and Licensing Framework for Wireless Microphones. These consultations respectively address spectrum utilization by white space devices in the VHF and UHF ranges, and wireless microphones in the UHF and SHF ranges.
