Entirety reports on February 27, ISED (Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada) issued the RSS-130 issue 2, replacing the RSS-130, issue 1 from October 2013.
The main changes are:
- the addition of frequency bands 617-652 MHz and 663-698 MHz and the related requirements to the standard.
- The change from Equivalent Isotopically Radiated Power (e.i.r.p.) to Effective Radiated Power (e.r.p.).
- Clarification of limits of unwanted emissions in the highest and lowest frequency of the block.
- Clarification that the measurements made on the equipment will be performed only with the carrier frequency set at the lowest and highest frequency per each frequency band.
- Remove of the measurement section on multiple antennas since the measurement method is defined in ANSI C63.26
