On January 19, 2018, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) announced minor changes to the standard “Radio Standard Specification RSS-133, issue 6 (amendment), 2 GHz Personal Communications Services”. These changes are related to the transmitter Output Power and Equivalent Isotropically Radiated Power.
In the Section 6.4 the changes were: The equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) for transmitters shall not exceed the limits given in SRSP-510.
In addition, the transmitter’s peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) shall not exceed 13 dBfor more than 0.1% of the time using a signal corresponding to the highest PAPR during periods of continuous transmission.
