On Feb 29th, ANATEL released the Public Consultation No. 13 with the intent to address four relevant themes for the Conformity analysis
Theme 01 – Infractions and Sanctions in the Conformity Assessment and Homologation Process – assesses the need to adapt the standard in force due to the Agency’s actions in combating piracy and irregular marketing, through electronic commerce, of telecommunications products subject to certification.
Theme 02 – Approval eligibles – evaluates the expansion of the range of legitimized for the approval of products manufactured in national territory, so that new models of manufacturing and technology development can be covered by regulation.
Theme 03 – Homologation Identification Rules – evaluates the convenience and opportunity of removing regulatory barriers for manufacturers and importers when affixing the Anatel approval seal when the product is imported and intended for commercialization, as well as removing possible difficulties in the process of importing products for telecommunications.
Theme 04 – Treatment of Reconditioned or Refurbished Telecommunications Products – verifies the adequacy of regulatory provisions on reconditioned or refurbished products, in order to maintain greater adherence to public policies aimed at digital inclusion, as well as the need for environmental preservation.
