Anatel published on February 12th, the Resolution No. 648/2015, where the radio frequencies for the Subscription Television services are defined.
This new resolution has the following objectives:
- To proportionate the conditions for the use of the radio frequencies (Law No. 12.485/2011) and the Resolution No. 581/2012, that approves the rules for the subscription television services.
- To attend the need for expansion of the subscription services for content distribution.
- To establish a propitious environment for the investment, competition increase and telecommunications services diversity, as well as the promotion of the national industry.
The assigned bands for the subscription television services are:
2.170 MHz to 2.182 MHz, on secondary basis
2.500 MHz to 2.570 MHz and 2.620 MHz to 2.690 MHz, on secondary basis
2.570 MHz to 2.620 MHz, on a primary basis, without exclusivity
25,350 GHz to 25,475 GHz, 25,475 GHz to 25,600 GHz, on a primary basis, without exclusivity
37,646 GHz to 37,814 GHz and 38,906 GHz to 39,074 GHz on a primary basis, without exclusivity
2,2 GHz to 12,7 GHz on a primary basis, without exclusivity.
