After a meeting with the Certification bodies on September, ANATEL declared that they will now enforce the Art. 52. Of the Resolution 715 which states the following:
The Certificate of Conformity may be suspended in the following cases:
V – there is no periodic maintenance of the product certification under the conditions established in this Regulation, for a period exceeding 180 (one hundred and eighty) days or until the Maintenance is verified, whichever occurs first;
Previously, OCDs were allowed to renew certificates even if they had expired. ANATEL now requires renewals to be completed before the certificate expires. In exceptional cases, certificates expired for up to six months can still be renewed, provided all necessary documents and test reports are submitted within this grace period.
If a certificate has been expired for more than six months, a new approval process, including testing and an ANATEL ID change, is necessary.
Currently, there is no official publication on this matter.
