On August 27th, 2018 the National Telecommunication Agency (ANATEL) of Brazil updated its regulation on EMC testing procedures for Restricted Radiation Transceivers that are in force from November 7, 2018.
HIGHLIGHTS
- For certificate renewals/maintenance process there is no need to add or comply with this tests if and only if the initial certification was SUBMITTED previous to Act No. 6.506/2018.
- For new certification to devices that have Restricted Radiations, Technologies are applied the rest of the Act No. 6.506/2018.
- For mobile phone devices test will apply for WiFi+Bluetooth. This tests will be made separately from cellular technologies (2G, 3G, and 4G) because this doesn’t require the new tests. However, for radiated immunities, the tests will be made simultaneously with cellular technologies.
- For devices like Access Terminal Stations or devices with a capable cellular network, the emission and immunity radiated tests for WiFi+Bluetooth will be applied, in simultaneous with cellular technologies (2G, 3G, and 4G).
- EMC is not applicable to modules.
