BRAZIL: ANATEL Publishes Consultation to Amend the Regulation on Restricted Radio-communication Equipment

Back

ANATEL wants to amend the current Regulation of Restricted Radio-communication Equipment approved by Resolution 680, of June 27, 2017. The change would impact few products like wireless chargers and equipment for Cable Location in the bands between  90 kHz and 110 kHz since currently this band (90-110 kHz) is not allowed to be used in Brazil.

They propose to amend the following items:

In Article 1 to include a new subsection V to §3 of article 7, in the following terms:

“V – Cable Locating Equipment in the 90 kHz to 110 kHz radio frequency range, provided there is a technical requirement for its certification.”

The Art. 2 Amends the table of Radio Frequency bands usable by restricted radiation equipment with alternative emission limits, defined in technical specifications, in Annex I of the Regulation on Restricted Radiocommunication Equipment (see table in the pdf).

The interested parties can submit comments until November 11, 2018.
