End March, ANATEL published a Consultation to update the technical electrical safety requirements for conformity assessment of telecommunication products, intended for installation and use in the environment of the end user and consumer of telecommunication service (General Public).
This is in order to timely monitor technological developments, in relation to the requirements and the test methods to be adopted by the laboratories. The main objective of this update is to maintain the protection of users and the environments in which telecommunications products are used.
This new Document would revoke the Act No. 950 of 2018. It establishes about the protection against acoustic and electric shock, and against fire risk and excessive heating. Also, it talks about the marking instructions.
The interested parties can submit the comments until May 23rd, 2022.
