BRAZIL: ANATEL Postpones RF AND EMC Testing Requirements for September 27th

Back

On August 28, 2018, ANATEL of Brazil published a document with details regarding the entry into force for the applicability of the radiated emission and/or irradiated immunity tests after it received a postponement once again. The Authority issued Administrative Act No. 6506 indicating the new mandatory date and test methods.

ANATEL is giving 30 more days to submit processes without the need of these new tests. This means for all projects submitted and starting September 27, 2018, new tests will be mandatory (According to the Agency, this date will not be postponed anymore).

If there are samples currently at the lab under testing, we suggest taking advantage that those samples are already there to accomplish these tests at this time. This avoids the need to perform these tests at the moment of the renewal process.
