On November 16, 2016, ANATEL published on the Official Gazette the Public Consultation No. 32/2016 with a proposal to modify the Technical Requirements for homologation of Cell Phone Chargers.
There are 9 items for which interested companies or individuals can send their contributions, those key elements are related to the scope, general definitions, and applicable requirements for Cell Phone Chargers that are subjected to mandatory certification.
Mentioned requirements will be included in technical assessments done to Cell Phones and their accessories such as wall chargers, chargers using wireless power transmission and chargers used in vehicular environment.
ANATEL is receiving comments through Public Consultations Platform “SACP” until November 30, 2016.
