On March 2, Anatel opens three public consultations on certification of telecommunications products, recognition of professionals as specialists in the evaluation of product conformity and the operational procedure for the selection, evaluation and qualification of testing laboratories. The deadline for contributions is 30 days. The consultations gather in a single document the minimum requirements necessary for the designation of a Certification Body to assess the conformity of products for telecommunications already applied, updated especially in Resolution 715, of last year, which deals with the assessment of conformity and approval of products for telecommunications. The regulation approved in October makes the assessment procedures and models faster and more versatile, which simplifies and reduces bureaucracy in the conformity assessment process, maintaining the requirement of high standards of quality and safety for the consumer. Proposals in public consultation will update the product approval assessment procedures to the new standard.
