BRAZIL: ANATEL Modernizes Public Consultation System

Back

The two public consultations were approved on Apr. 7th by the Board of Directors of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) will be the first carried out through Participa, a platform that will replace the Public Consultation Monitoring System (SACP). The system change aims to facilitate society’s participation in the regulatory process. The update of the technological platform used to carry out public consultations includes a series of innovations and improvements in relation to the SACP.

Access to Participants will be done through the single login of the gov. brand to use the system, the user must have an account with a Bronze level of trust. Representatives of companies must register with the SEI, with documents proving the user’s relationship with the company.

Public consultations that have already been initiated in the SACP will continue to receive contributions through that system. As soon as the queries already in progress in the SACP are closed, the system will be deactivated. Participants will gather information from all queries carried out by the Agency.

Criticisms and suggestions received in the public consultation process are consolidated in a specific document, containing the reasons for their adoption or rejection, which remains available to any interested party.
