Anatel published today the Resolution 662 of 2016 establishing some changes in the homologation number format and labeling. The number of digits of the homologation number was increased from 10 to 12, attending the growing demand for homologation and product certification; and the bar code was removed from the label.
The new homologation number format is:
HHHHH-AA-FFFFF, where:
HHHHH: Identifies the product’s homologation
AA: Identifies the year of the homologation issuance
FFFFF: Identifies the product manufacturer.
The products already homologated can continue using the former homologation format and label.
