BRAZIL: ANATEL Approves Act No. 14448 for IoT

On January 2, 2018 the Brazilian National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) published Act No. 14448 that repeals Art. 1 of Act No. 11.542 from August 23, 2017 and approves the new Technical Requirements for Conformity Assessment of Restricted Radio communication equipment. The above was approved with an aim to incentivize the exchange of informations and increase the commercial activity between associates, promote research and development, and work jointly with the government authorities involved in the Internet of Things.
