BRAZIL: ANATEL Act 5701 Officially Published Marking Updating Rules for Products Entering Brazil Customs

On June 2021, ANATEL had published a Public Consult number 25, to postpone the Act 4088 to be in force after 730 days from its initial publication and to add one item to the exception of marking products prior to entering Brazil, for the devices that are also regulated by the National Health Surveillance Agency – ANVISA. Act 5701 now adjusts officially these two points, and the new date for Act 4088 to be in force will be July 31st 2022. Until this date, is expected for all Manufacturers to adapt their label processes to mark products that are subjected to ANATEL, before exporting to Brazil.
