BHUTAN: BICMA Released The 700 MHz Frequency Band Plan Seeking Comments

Back

Recently, the Bhutan Infocomm and Media Authority (BICMA) released a possible plan for the 700 MHz frequency band, proposing that this band should be used for international mobile telecommunication (IMT) services in Bhutan. The opportunity to use this band for telecommunication services arose because the digital television services needs less spectrum to transmit the same channels. Following the path of many other countries, Bhutan wants to use the 700 MHz band to provide telecommunication services.
