Back

On September 2016, the Bhutan InfoComm and Media Authority (BICMA) published the official document of its 2.6GHz Frequency Band plan for use by wireless broadband access and MMDS services in Bhutan. The new plan follows the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) recommendations including the use of the 2.6GHz band for Multi-channel Multi-point Distribution System (MMDS) and fixed Wireless broadband Access (WBA). According to the authority information, this plan should be an addendum to the schedule 2, Part IV of the national Radio 2011. Attached are the specifications of the new distribution of the 2.6GHz band in Bhutan.
