Bahrain’s Spectrum Strategy Coordination Committee released an updated version of the national frequencies plan. The new plan was designed to focus on meeting international requirements, optimal use of the spectrum, national security and future developments, such as building an ICT sector and continued development of the Directorate of Wireless Licensing, Frequency and Monitoring.
The 2.6 GHz frequency band allocation plan was adopted along with technical specifications. The committee also agreed to add new frequency bands for fixed services prepared by the Directorate of Wireless Licensing, Frequency and Monitoring.
