BAHAMAS: URCA Proposes Opening Standard Spectrum Bands Currently ‘Closed’

Back

The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority (URCA) published a Consultation Document proposing the idea of opening standard spectrum bands that are currently ‘closed’ in the National Spectrum Plan 2014-2017.

According to the official source, the objectives of the proposal are to:

1. Identify the spectrum band designated as ‘closed’ in the NSP
2. Propose a method of opening the ‘closed’ spectrum bands and review feedback from public.
3. Open the “closed” bands based on public feedback.

December 8, 2017 was the last date to publish feedback to the URCA.
