AUSTRALIA: ACMA Released Public Consultation of Use of RLAN Devices in Lower 6 GHz Band

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) published a public consultation focused to enable the use of the next generation of WiFi in the 6GHz band The ACMA is looking for comments to allow Radio Local Area Network (RLAN) equipment to operate at low power levels in the lower part of the 6 GHz band (5925–6425 MHz), also the consultation looks to obtain comments related to the following items:

● Demand for spectrum
● Use of the upper 6 GHz band
● Proposed low power limits
● Higher power devices and AFC
● 5 GHz band

The consultation closed on November 19th, 2021. And the comments can be sent by post to:
