In May 2023, the Argentinean ICT regulator, ENACOM, published an updated guideline of the label requirements applicable to radio and telecom products that are approved and registered as homologated devices.
The label requirements were updated for the last time in 2020 when the RAMATEL logo was introduced. The new guideline was developed after hearing arguments coming from different industry stakeholders and aims to provide more flexibility to the implementation of labeling while ensuring that consumers and market surveillance authorities have access to the relevant certification information.
The main changes are related to:
- The option to publish certification information online for products that are integrated into vehicles or for products that have a label on screens
- Additional ways to display RAMATEL approval information, for example in Quick Start Guides
Items such as general format, dimensions, calligraphy, color, and implementation in modules remained unchanged.
