This is short notice for our previous update in regards to the Local testing for Devices with Cellular interfaces which came into force on March 1st. Early January, ENACOM updated its list of Accredited Laboratories to include an additional recognized and authorized Argentinian Lab to carry out testing and measurements of UE for Mobile Communication System (as per Q2-61.03 V17.1 Standard). The lab is capable of testing all types of cellular technologies from 2G, 3G, and 4G for homologation purposes.
With this new listing and considering that the facilities to test these interfaces are fully operational, there would no reason for ENACOM to continue accepting any foreign test reports as of March 1st (only SAR reports since there are no capable local labs for this kind of test).
Anyway, ENTIRETY is currently asking the Regulator to reconfirm the correct interpretation that there is an exemption in this regard. We want to reconfirm since there is not an official confirmation from the Regulator that the actual rule entering in force revokes Resolution 4709/2018 (where it was allowed the use of the foreign reports).
While the Authority does not confirm that the Res 4709 is now invalid, there could be nothing to prevent the use of reports and certificates of origin.
We hope to provide you with this confirmation very soon.
