On June 29, 2017, ENACOM released a statement announcing Hertz, a new application system in Argentina. The new web application will be used to process RF approvals. According to ANACOM, “all applications will be handled online via web and ENACOM will no longer receive hardcopy applications.” Although applications will now be online, required documentation and testing will see no changes. Additionally, the application still needs to be done by an engineer and must be registered at the local Association of Engineers (COPITEC).
Two key points ANACOM mentions:
1. Each local company (certificate holder) must do an initial registration under this system. The registration is online but they also must submit legal documentation for the first time.
2. The CNC ID (certificate number) for the homologation is expected to be released by Hertz at the time of the application, reducing the assignation lead-time by 1-2 weeks.
