On March 4th, 2022, ENACOM published norm ENACOM-Q2-60.14 V21.1, which replaces the electric field intensity limits of the previous norm Resolution No. 551 of ENACOM, dated April 22, 2021. After analyzing the standards of
various countries (USA, BRAZIL, CHILE), It was considered appropriate to adopt the indicated electric field intensity limits in the Annex to the Resolution. Additionally, the new norm allocates the frequency bands 0.490 – 1.705 MHz and 1.705 – 30.000 MHz to Devices of Low Power to allow the use of both inductive chargers and other devices and systems compatible with the conditions proposed in the norm, in order to harmonize the use of the spectrum
in the Region.
A term of 90 days calendar days is established from the publication of the norm (March 4th,2022), within which all those requests for registration of Low Power Devices in the National Registry of Materials of Telecommunications (RAMATEL) new and pending may be evaluated in accordance with the minimum conditions and test methods established in the technical standard
ENACOM-Q2-60.14 V20.1.
Type Approval impacted: Yes, the timeframe for registration of the device on the RAMATEL
