MEXICO: Standard to Regulate Spectrum Usage and ISM Bands to Come Into Force on April 10th

Entirety previously informed on February 7, 2017, the regulation approval of Standard NOM-208-SCFI-2016 set in place to regulate spectrum usage and ISM bands. This standard means all radio equipment employing the technique of spread spectrum, frequency hopping and digital modulation operating in the bands 902 MHz – 928 MHz, 2400 MHz – 2483.5 MHz and 5725 MHz – 5850 MHz and wishing imported, marketed and / or distributed within the territory of the United Mexican States must fulfill the minimum and limits and test methods of the parameters indicated in the Technical arrangement IFT- 0082015 issued by the Institute Federal de Telecomunicaciones.

We will like to confirm standard NOM-208-SCFI-2016 will come into force on April 10, 2017. In addition, from that date forward, customs will begin to request Certificates of Conformity in order to import.
