Back

On July 2016, the Telecommunications Superintendence of Costa Rica (SUTEL) published a draft on their official gazette, regarding and auction of 70 MHz for mobile services. The agency is offering spectrum availability from its last process, where 2×20 MHz in the 1800 MHz band and 2×15 MHz in the 1900/2100 MHz band are available. The objectives of this new auction are to improve the mobile service quality in the country, avoid the spectrum concentration and propitiate the environmental sustainability. The auction will take place on the first half of 2017.
